From Haifa, Israel, CompuLab announced its tiny NVIDIA Tegra TM2-based desktop. CompuLab has finished designing its smallest and most energy efficient desktop. How tiny is it? The desktop’s thickness is only 0.6”. NVIDIA Tegra 2 is the strongest ARM-based processor today. CompuLab Trim-Slice integrates the NVIDIA Tegra along with all of the compulsory features it bears, including 1GB of RAM, SATA SSD, Dual SDHC and GbE networking.
CompuLab designs Trim Slice by making advantage of the energy efficiency of NVIDIA Tegra. Thus, it can generate a tiny desktop in terms of size; but it is generous in terms of specs. It is aimed at providing the users with PC-like computing experience while allowing them to bring the desktop everywhere. It supports wide arrays of applications, including media player, OPTV, infotainment system, gaming, and internet surfing. CompuLab supports the applications offering miniature rugged and low-power design. It will also come with more than one operating system.
CompuLab Trim-Slice also hosts a variety of stunning specs, such as Wi-Fi, HDMI 1.3 full-HD + DVI display, stereo lineout audio, PAL/NTSC for enhanced video processing, 4 USB2.0 ports, and 1 USB device. In average, the computer requires only 3W. The computer will be available in April, but no information is available on the price yet.
